Understory had the month planned, the roof and the poster. It needed a home online that felt like the night before anyone reached the roof.

What they had
Understory is a placemaking studio in Chattanooga, founded by Jules Downum. Search Party is its month of art, dance and free programming on the roof of CARTA’s Shuttle Park North, Oct 9 to Nov 7, 2026, opened by a ticketed performance called The Call.
They had the event, a poster with the building drawn in orange line, and a placeholder page on the studio’s own site.
What we built
Search Party got its own site at its own address. Phone first, because that is where most people meet it. The building from their poster draws itself as the page opens, the scroll climbs to the roof, The Call gets its ticket button, and the month sits on a wall of posters you tap for each night.
What waits on the roof stays off the page, on purpose. The reveal belongs to opening night.
