What is Stolan Acres?

Stolan Acres is an identity-first brand integration studio run by two married co-founders, Steve Lepore and Nolan Madalinski. We find what is already true about a founder and make it impossible to overlook, then build that identity across every surface they show up on.

What does Identity First, Brand Second mean?

Most studios start with the logo, the palette, and the site. We believe that is the wrong order. We do the work upstream first, the truth of who you are, then express it outward. Get the sequence wrong and you spend years duct-taping aesthetics onto a foundation that was never set.

Where do I start with Stolan Acres?

Start where you are. There is a free Brand Clarity Quiz, the $27 Brand Blind Spot Report, and Reinvention OS at $247 on the education side. For one-to-one identity work, the ladder runs Brand Resonance Audit at $997, then the Visionary Presence Blueprint at $2,497, up to a full Brand System Build from $12,000.

What is the B.R.I.C.K. method?

B.R.I.C.K. is our build-order system for getting recognized: Brand-truth, Recognition, Identity, Consistency, Knowledge. You start with what is already true about you, surface the signal people catch first, give that signal a look and a voice, repeat it until it holds, and turn the attention it earns into trust and revenue. Each layer rests on the one below it.

Who is Stolan Acres for?

Founders who feel the gap between who they are and how they show up, who have outgrown templates and trends, and who would rather be unmistakable than interchangeable. We take on only one to two larger consulting clients per quarter on purpose.

Where is Stolan Acres located?

The studio is a real room in Michigan, where the strategy is run and the brand essentials and gifting are cut and engraved by hand. You can reach the founders at hello@stolanacres.com.

Working with us one to one

The ladder, the prices, and how many clients we take.

What is the difference between the Audit and the Blueprint?

The Brand Resonance Audit at $997 is the diagnosis. It names where your brand has drifted from the truth under it and hands you the reframe to act on yourself. The Visionary Presence Blueprint at $2,497 is the build. It is one conversation, then a full identity system designed and applied across every surface. The Audit credits in full toward the Blueprint within 30 days.

How much does it cost to work with Stolan Acres one to one?

The ladder runs the Brand Resonance Audit at $997, the Visionary Presence Blueprint at $2,497, and the full Brand System Build from $12,000 when you want the identity deployed across your whole operation. You start at the rung that fits where you are.

What do I actually get from the Visionary Presence Blueprint?

A full identity system from a single conversation: your Brand Schema, a Brand Board, your voice, and your brand applied to every surface you show up on, delivered as a living brand board you can build from.

How many clients do you take?

We take on only one to two larger consulting clients per quarter, on purpose. Identity work done right is not a volume business, and the selectivity is how the quality holds.

Who is one-to-one identity work for?

Founders who feel the gap between who they are and how they show up, who have outgrown templates and trends, and who would rather be unmistakable than interchangeable. It is not for anyone shopping on price for a commodity logo.

Brand Resonance Audit

$997. The front door. It credits in full toward the Blueprint.

What exactly do I walk away with?

A written Resonance Report, a clear reframe of what your brand is for and who it is for, and a ranked action plan you can run yourself. Plus the live session that produces it all.

Can I apply the cost toward the Blueprint?

Yes. The full $997 credits toward a Visionary Presence Blueprint if you move into one within 30 days of your audit. The audit becomes your first step, not an added cost.

Is this done for me, like the Blueprint?

No, and that is the point. The audit hands you the diagnosis and the reframe to act on yourself. When you want it designed and built across every surface, that is the Blueprint. The audit is how you know it is worth building.

What if my brand is already fine?

Then the audit confirms it and you stop second-guessing every decision. And if we cannot surface real clarity you can act on, you get your money back.

Who is this for?

Founders who can feel the gap between the work they do and the recognition they get, and who want to know exactly what is wrong before spending on the fix.

Visionary Presence Blueprint

$2,497. The flagship. Schema, board, and the memo.

How does it start?

One intuitive, industry-aware flow. A few real questions, a handful of photos, and a sample of how you sound. It is built to make clear who you actually are, not to make you fill out a blank brand brief alone. Most people finish it in one sitting.

Do you use AI?

We do, and we are honest about it. We love AI, it is a phenomenal tool for us, keeping us organized and making sense of everything you share. But identity is different. That part is always human led. A real person reads your name and your work and decides it is right before any of it reaches you, because the thing that matters most, you finally feeling seen, should never be handed to something that cannot feel it too.

Why identity before a logo?

Because a logo built on a guess is a guess with nicer edges. When the identity is named first, every visual decision after it gets easier and holds up longer. Get the order wrong and you rebrand again in eighteen months. We refuse to start at the doorway.

What exactly do I walk away with?

A complete identity system: the Brand Schema (who you are, in structure), the Brand Board (color, type, marks, voice), and your brand applied to the surfaces your world actually uses, deployed as a living brand board you can hand to anyone.

Is $2,497 the whole price?

Yes, for the full identity. One flat price, no surprise retainers, no per-asset upcharges. If you start with the $997 Brand Resonance Audit, that amount credits toward the Blueprint. The website build is a separate, optional step two if you want us to build the place your identity lives.

Can you build the website too?

Yes, and it is the natural next step. The Website Build is $2,497 and runs on the identity we just made you, a full multi-page site with custom scroll and motion, written in your voice, mobile-perfect and yours to keep. This page is an example of the work. Take the identity alone, the site alone, or both together.

Website Build

$2,497. This site is the demo.

What if I don't have my brand ready?

Then start with the Visionary Presence Blueprint or the bundle. We build the identity first, then the site runs on it. You only go through the hard part once.

How long does it take?

About 7 to 14 days once we have your inputs. A site on its own moves fast; identity plus site together runs the same 7 to 14. Your intake is what starts the clock.

Is $2,497 the whole price?

Yes for the site build. One flat price, no monthly rent, yours to keep. If you want the identity built too, the bundle is $4,497 for both.

Do you use AI?

Yes, and we are honest about it. We use AI to check our final code and keep us organized. The eye, the craft, and every call that makes the site yours are always human. Real people build it and make sure it is unmistakably you.

What do I actually get?

A full custom multi-page site, built on your brand, written in your voice, mobile-perfect, fast, search-ready, and handed to you to keep.

Brand System Build

$12k and up. Application only.

How much does it actually cost?

It starts at $12k and is scoped to what you actually need, so the number is set after the discovery call, not before. Forty percent at kickoff, the rest paid across milestones as each phase ships.

Do I need to do the Blueprint first?

Not required, but it helps. If you have completed a Visionary Presence Blueprint, the first phase accelerates because the identity is already named. If you have not, we do that work inside the build.

How long does it take?

Six to twelve weeks from discovery to deployment, depending on scope. You are in the loop at every milestone, never waiting on a single big reveal.

What happens after you hand it over?

You own a system your team can run. If you want us to keep it sharp as you grow, Stewardship is the monthly relationship that picks up from there, from $1,500 a month.

Why is it application only?

Because we take a small roster at a time and the work is deep. The application and discovery call make sure the fit is real before either of us commits.

Brand Expression Integration

The execution layer for existing clients.

How is this different from hiring a social media manager?

A social media manager schedules posts. This builds a content system rooted in your identity. Every asset comes from your brand voice, your visual system, and your strategic position. The result is content that compounds trust, recognition, and authority instead of just filling a calendar.

Why do I need an existing relationship with you?

Expression without identity is noise. We need to understand your brand at the foundation before we can make content that truly represents it. The Audit, the Blueprint, or the System Build gives us that foundation. Without it, we would be guessing, and we do not guess.

Do you manage posting and scheduling?

We create the content, the strategy, and the editorial calendar. Posting and scheduling can be included depending on the tier and the arrangement. In every case, you approve everything before it goes live.

What if I only need help with one channel?

The 30-day Sprint is built for focused work. We can weight the deliverables toward social, email, blog, or copy, wherever the biggest gap is. Every tier is customizable inside its scope.

Can this become ongoing?

Yes. Many clients roll from the 90-day System into Brand Stewardship, where ongoing content expression is part of a broader brand management retainer.

What is the turnaround?

The Sprint delivers in 30 days, the Build in 60, the System in 90. Each runs through a strategy phase, a creation phase, and a deployment phase, and you see your first assets inside the first two weeks.

Brand Stewardship

Ongoing. For brands that need a keeper, not a campaign.

What is Brand Stewardship?

It is an ongoing brand management retainer and strategic support for clients who have already built their identity with us. It is the layer that keeps a brand from drifting after it is built.

How much does Brand Stewardship cost?

Two tiers: Essential at $1,500 a month and Partner at $2,500 a month. You choose based on how much ongoing support and pace of work you need.

Who is Brand Stewardship for?

Clients who built their identity with us and want it kept clear and consistent as they grow, rather than watching it slowly drift back toward generic.

Can I start with Stewardship without working with you first?

No. Stewardship keeps an existing Stolan-built identity sharp, so it comes after the Blueprint or Brand System Build, not before. If you are just starting, the Brand Resonance Audit or the Visionary Presence Blueprint is the door in.

Learn on your own

The free quiz, the $27 report, and Reinvention OS.

Where should I start if I am new to Stolan Acres?

Start where you are. The free Brand Clarity Quiz shows you where your brand is landing today. From there, the $27 Brand Blind Spot Report names the gap, and Reinvention OS at $247 walks you through rebuilding your identity at your own pace.

What is the Brand Blind Spot Report?

It is a $27 report that names the gap between how you see your brand and how it actually lands on the people you are trying to reach. It is the cheapest way to find what is quietly costing you recognition before you spend on a fix.

What is Reinvention OS?

Reinvention OS is a self-guided program at $247 that takes you through rebuilding your identity from the truth up, using the same B.R.I.C.K. build-order we use with one-to-one clients. You move at your own pace.

Is the Brand Clarity Quiz really free?

Yes. The quiz is free and gives you a real read on where your brand is clear and where it is drifting. It is the generous door into the studio, no purchase required.

Do I have to hire Stolan Acres to use any of this?

No. The Learn ladder is built to be run on your own. When you want the work done with you rather than by you, the one-to-one Identity Work door is there, but you never have to walk through it.

How long does Reinvention OS take?

Completely self-paced. Some finish a conversation per day, others take a week between sessions. Progress saves across all devices and access never expires.

What if I am just starting out?

Even better. Build from identity first, before making the mistakes that come from building on strategy alone. You leave knowing what to build, who to build it for, and why it will work.

How is this different from coaching?

Coaching gives you someone else's framework and calls it accountability. This gives you your own. The system connects patterns across all 12 conversations that you cannot see yourself, at a fraction of the cost of a single coaching session.

Do I have to write anything myself?

You answer questions. The system handles the synthesis, the pattern recognition, and the product creation. Your book concept, course curriculum, and launch plan are built from your answers automatically.

The Studio and the Shop

Hard goods, custom work, and executive gifting.

What is The Studio?

The Studio is the Stolan Acres community home: the Stolan Studio Collective, our private community on Skool, gathered around the real room in Michigan where every brand we build is made.

What is the Stolan Studio Collective?

A private community on Skool run by Steve and Nolan of Stolan Acres. Live build sessions, the courses, both books, and direct feedback on what you are building, in the company of founders who put identity first.

What is inside the Collective?

Live sessions and real feedback on your next move, the courses, both Stolan books, and a room of founders building alongside you. It is the seat in the studio, held open.

Do you still make the physical goods?

Yes. Luxe gifting and brand essentials are still cut and engraved by hand in the same Michigan room. They have their own page at the shop, and the full storefront lives at shop.stolanacres.com.

What does Stolan Acres sell in the shop?

Branded essentials and executive gifting: drinkware, leather, boards, and considered gift boxes. These are the third pillar of the studio, the physical things we make alongside the identity work.

Are the goods made by hand?

Yes. Everything is cut and engraved by hand in the Michigan studio, close to human hands. That is the point, in a market running on instant everything, these are the objects that were actually made by someone.

Can I order custom or executive gifting?

Yes. The considered gift box is built to land and say someone meant it, and gifting can be tailored for teams and clients. Reach out at hello@stolanacres.com to commission a set.

Where do the products ship from?

From the Michigan studio, where they are made. The same room that runs the brand strategy cuts and engraves the goods.

Steve and Nolan

Who we are and how we got here.

Who are the founders of Stolan Acres?

Stolan is Steve plus Nolan. Steve Lepore and Nolan Madalinski are married co-founders. The name and the studio are both built from the two of them.

What makes their approach different?

The method is human before it ever touches a logo. Most studios sell the doorway, the logo and the palette and the site. Stolan does the work upstream of all of it, the truth of who someone is, then expresses it outward.

What is the Stolan story?

Four years, two pivots, two books written. Steve and Nolan have been broke twice and rebuilt twice, and their own story is itself the proof that the method works.

How do I contact Stolan Acres?

Email the founders directly at hello@stolanacres.com. The studio takes on only one to two larger consulting clients per quarter, so the earlier a conversation starts, the better.

How we think about brand

The ideas underneath the work.

What is the difference between a logo and a brand system?

A logo is a single visual mark. A brand system is the full set of decisions around it: your voice, color and font rules, your core message, photo direction, and the guidelines anyone on your team can follow. The logo is one output of the system, not the system itself.

Do I really need a brand system, or is a logo enough?

A logo is enough if you only need a name on a sign. The moment you're posting across channels, hiring help, or trying to grow, a logo alone leaves too many decisions undefined. If your channels look inconsistent or freelancers keep guessing, you've outgrown the logo.

When should a founder invest in a brand system?

When the cost of inconsistency starts showing up: stalled growth, confused customers, time lost fixing off-brand work. If you can't explain what makes you different in one sentence, or your last three posts look like three companies, that's the signal it's time.

How do I know if my brand system is working?

The clearest test: hand the document to someone who has never met you and see if they can produce on-brand work without asking you a single question. If they can, the system holds. If they're guessing, the system isn't written down clearly enough yet.

How much does food truck branding cost?

It ranges widely depending on scope. A logo alone is cheap and usually a waste, because a mark with no truth behind it does not help you. A full identity that covers the truck wrap, menu system, and ordering flow is an investment, but it is the surface that actually wins customers at the curb. Decide what you need by how much of the business the look has to carry.

What makes a food truck stand out from competitors?

One clear truth, said the same way on every surface. Most trucks blur together because they picked a safe look that could belong to anyone. Four-99 stands out because the heritage and the clean-food story show up on the wrap, the menu, and the logo all at once. Recognition comes from repetition of one idea, not from adding more ideas.

Should I design my logo first or my identity first?

Identity first, always. The logo is the last thing you make, not the first. You find the truth, decide how it should feel, then design a mark that carries it. Starting with the logo means you are decorating something you have not defined yet, and you usually end up rebranding within a year.

Do I need a professional for food truck branding?

Not for everything. If you can name your truth clearly and you have a real eye, you can carry a lot of it yourself. Bring in help when the look has to do heavy lifting you cannot see from the inside, or when you keep redoing it and it still feels off. That is usually a sign the problem is the truth underneath, not the design on top.

Is DIY branding a bad idea?

No. DIY is the right call when you are early, pre-revenue, or still testing what you sell. It only becomes a bad idea when you stay there too long, because the hidden costs of looking generic eventually outrun what you saved on software.

How much does it really cost to DIY your branding?

The software is cheap. The real cost is your time at your actual hourly rate, the redo cycles most people go through, and the lost revenue from months of looking interchangeable. Counted honestly, free DIY is often the most expensive option.

When should I hire a brand strategist instead of doing it myself?

Hire one when you have real proof and results but your reputation has not caught up, when you have rebranded yourself more than once and it still feels off, or when you are losing deals because you look like everyone else. That is when the cost of staying invisible passes the cost of the help.

What is the difference between DIY and a done-with-you option like VPB?

DIY means you do all of it alone with templates. Done-with-you means a strategist does the heavy lifting you cannot do from inside your own head while you stay in the room and keep the understanding. The Visionary Presence Blueprint ($2,497) is that middle path, built so you can run your own identity for years afterward.

How do I make my brand feel authentic instead of generic?

Stop studying competitors as the starting point. Start by collecting evidence of what's already true about you: the words clients repeat back to you, the things you do automatically, what you refuse to do. Build your presence outward from that truth instead of copying what looks like it's working for someone else. Generic comes from imitation. Recognition comes from truth.

What if I don't know what my brand truth is yet?

You don't have to know it before you start. You uncover it. Read old testimonials for repeated words, listen to how you describe your work out loud versus how your website describes it, and notice the work you'd do even on a bad week. The truth is already in your business. You're collecting it, not inventing it.

Why do I keep rebranding and it still doesn't feel right?

Because you keep redesigning the surface without naming the truth underneath it. A new logo or color can't fix a foundation you never built. If every rebrand starts with someone else's reference instead of your own evidence, you'll keep landing somewhere that looks fine and feels off. Fix the Brand-truth layer first and the visible choices stop being guesses.

Does building a brand that feels like me mean ignoring strategy?

No. It means strategy with a foundation. Knowing what's true about you doesn't replace positioning, pricing, or knowing your ideal client. It gives all of those a center to organize around, so your decisions stop contradicting each other. Truth first, then strategy built on top of it.

What comes first, the logo or the strategy?

Strategy first, every time. The strategy is the meaning the logo will carry. If you design the mark before you know what it stands for, you are decorating an empty container and hoping meaning shows up later. It rarely does. Find the truth, get it recognized, then design.

Is it bad to start a business with just a logo?

It is not fatal, it is just fragile. A logo with no strategy underneath will work until someone asks what you actually stand for. The fix is not throwing the logo out. It is going back and building the recognition layer the logo should have been expressing all along.

What does recognition first, logo last mean?

It means you make people recognize who you are and what you do before you ever design the marks. Recognition comes from clear truth said in plain language and shown consistently. The logo is the final step, an expression of an identity that is already obvious. You earn the recognition first, then you stamp it.

How do I know if my brand was built backwards?

Try to say who you are and who you serve in one plain sentence with no buzzwords. If you cannot, your brand was built backwards. The polish is sitting on top of a meaning you never nailed down, which is why no redesign ever feels finished.

What exactly is a brand blind spot?

It's the gap between how good your work actually is and how clearly that comes across to a customer in the first few seconds. You can't see it because you're too close to your own work, so the things that matter most stay obvious to you and invisible to everyone else.

Why do customers choose worse competitors over me?

Because people don't choose the best option, they choose the one they understand fastest. A clear competitor feels like a safe pick, and an unclear you feels like a gamble, even when your work is stronger. Speed of understanding beats quality of work at the moment of choosing.

How do I find my own brand blind spot?

Ask recent customers what made them hesitate, not what made them buy. Hand your homepage to an outsider for eight seconds and see if they can repeat what you do. The fastest path is an outside read, since you're the least able to spot your own gap.

Is a blind spot a confidence problem or a marketing problem?

Usually neither. It's a translation problem. The signal in your head is strong, but it weakens on the way out, so customers receive a faint version of something that's actually excellent. Fixing the translation is far easier than fixing the work, and the work is already there.

What does BRICK stand for?

BRICK stands for Brand-truth, Recognition, Identity, Consistency, and Knowledge. They are five layers of a brand-building framework, built in order from bottom to top. Each layer rests on the one below it, the way a wall is built brick by brick.

Where does the BRICK framework come from?

It comes from Nolan James's book Brick by Brick: The Power of Small Wins and is the backbone of how Stolan Acres builds recognition for founders. The core idea is that nobody gets recognized in one big move. You get there through small, consistent, repeated wins stacked in the right order.

Do I have to do all five layers in order?

Yes, and that is the point. Each layer depends on the one beneath it. A polished identity built on a vague truth still reads as generic, and consistent posting only works if the signal you are repeating is clear. Building out of order is the most common reason good businesses stay overlooked.

How is BRICK different from a normal branding process?

Most branding starts with the logo and visuals, which in BRICK is the third layer, not the first. BRICK starts with what is already true about you and the signal people recognize before they read a word. The look comes after, built on top of something real, so it can only belong to you.

Still not sure where you fit

That is the most common question we get, and it is the easiest one to solve. The Brand Resonance Audit is the front door, and it credits in full toward the Blueprint if you keep going.
